The new site is finished...every setting (that I know of) is ready and polished, except for one.

The bot. I need to find some websites to leech material off of. I've gotten suggestions of what kinds of content you guys want, but I need specific websites. There are some specific parameters I'm looking for.

1. First, the site has to have an RSS feed linking to the content that will be posted. You can tell a site has one if it has this icon in the address bar: In fact, the very home page of this very forum has that icon as well.
IT MUST HAVE THIS FEATURE OR IT WILL NOT WORK, PERIOD!

2. If it has videos, look for any embed coding on the pages where the videos themselves are. Youtube, for example, has this kind of feature:

With embed code, I can embed whatever video it is into its own thread. If it doesn't have embed code, it can only be a link the page that has the video.

3. With videos or with articles, I'm not looking for a source that updates its shit 15 times an hour, meaning I don't want the bot spamming shitloads of threads no one cares about. Preferably, the source would have a few regularly updated things.

Post anything you find that fits these parameters here. I'm still going to look for these things myself, but it might be more efficient if you guys looked as well. That said, the site IS READY TO GO LIVE, save for that single bot feature.

Thanks, but thing is, the BBC news feed has about 20 pages uploaded a day, and I don't want the bot spamming that much shit in the news thread.

As for a picture site like lamebook...well as it stands right now, the bot can only create a new thread for all new content, not create a new post. Ideally with a feed like that, we'd want a single lamebook picture thread with the bot continually adding posts to it. Right now, the bot would create a new thread for every single pic. There MAY be an add-on for that that I could look for to change that, but I can't guarantee anything with that.

Not fussed. Just offering. The RSS is not in my list of 'things im awesome with' - And I don't really look at much more than a few web comics and news shit.

I already got the bot and avatar taken care of. Oh yeah, and I was able to find a way to make the bot post posts only and not threads. We have failblog, lamebook, and others in there now.

Only thing I can't really get are videos. They're a pain in the ass, as it's hard to find a video site that not only has an rss feed and embed code, but you have to sort of trick the coding into actually embedding in the post. It's complicated, but I was able to do it in glumbert, but not break.com for example.
