| Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. |

...and we are the cure. Best quote in the trilogy- up there with O'Brian's 'boot stamping on a human face forever' in 1984. That is a damn good video Joox. I found the following most interesting: "It is estimated that a week's worth of the NY Times contains more information than a person was likely to come across in a lifetime in the 18th century." "...Four exabytes of unique information will be generated this year... more than in the last 5 000." Surely this is grounds for optimism that inevitably good education will become universal; bringing massive benefits like stabilising the world population and eliminating poverty. Failing that at least we'll get a steady stream of new memes. "By 2013 a supercomputer will be built that will exceed the computational capacity of the human brain." "By 2049 it's estimated a $1 000 computer will exceed the computational capacity of the entire human species." Can't wait for the games. |

| Aye! Can't wait for that awesome fucking computer! Still, it sounds a bit like the rise of the machines is coming! As for the information creation, it's just all about connectivity: not really that amazing to my eyes. It's not like information is "produced" by some advanced process. It's just that communications have become so much more effective that information is traded at an unprecedented scale. All this is however highly theoretical: first off, they assume we won't all die in 2012 or due to the oncoming Zombie Apocalypse. Secondly, think about all the stuff people had predicted for 2010. I remember reading some article where G. W. Bush was talking about having a manned mission for Mars going by now (just as an example). |

Just think of your sex android as a dildo that can also open jars and evict spiders from the bathroom. |

I'm going to guess that when we can create robo pussy we're probably capable of recreating pussy scent. |
