I just started my new job this week at a company that provides IT and website support to clients, and one of my first tasks was to help one of our employees who runs a special Russian program that uh....creates shitloads of user accounts on hundreds of forums so that whatever client he's helping can get better search results on google...It has such cool little features like captcha codebreaking capabilities, comprising user names of random letters and numbers, and all sorts of awesome stuff for forums to enjoy.

Not that I'm using this thing myself, but this guy can only use it for so long before his internet connection fails for some odd reason. I'm supposed to help him so that his connection doesn't crap out like that, so that he can keep creating such beloved contributing forum members.

So um...yeah, so what's new with you all?

Your IT task helping spambotskis is kind of out of left field... strange, I really don't see how there can LOGICALLY be much money in it for the spambotters, but I guess if one in a thousand clicks on one of the spam links... Oh, just realised it's not about what appears on the forum but about googlebombing. Meh. Carry on. :thumb:

Cash the check and then work on the code to block the bots. Sell bot block product to forums. Enjoy added billing hours updating the Russian code to get into forums and then update the forum software. You've an endless cycle of work getting fed from both animals.
