But it seems that Live Universe had taken Filecabi.net off their inventory since March... who they sold the site to is unknown as the new owner has registered the site through a proxy.

The site moved to a new web hosting service just recently the site is now hosted on choopa.com the original host was techmedia.

that also explains why the forum became so buggy with errors. the new owner didn't migrate the forum database onto the new MySql server properly, hence the security token errors and time stap errors on the site.

I bet Heero bought filecabi.net and made it crash so he could lure us here, for what...I dunno but there is a plot behind all this.

Maybe Cee and/or Borro has anything to do with it?

Nah, What I really think is that some domain sharks bought it for not so much and they are just holding the domain back for a while until they find a potential buyer and then they will sell the domain again.

Don't expect any change to the site.

I think this is true.. as some of the other Variations of the Filcabi site on the fronpage links have already been parked

Jesus, well there's no point suggesting we all chip in then. I was gonna bid €300 but that would have been my limit.

The Value will drop with less traffic and a drop in Alexia, yahoo and Google rankings, and when other sites remove the site from their links...

If it is taken over by a domain squatter... the Domain value will decrease as the web reaffic to the site decreases. In a year from now it could be relitivly cheap to buy...

Why would they buy the fucking thing just to do that anyway? A years time! I can't wait that long. Can't we all put a tenner each in to a pot and buy or own site? Then we'd be able to post porn and the likes right?

Depends on what you are going to put on the site, the server can be an dedicated server (in the beginning this is the cheapest solution)
The costs can't be that high if we have some decent posters creating activity then we can get adds going.
If we want the site to be self financed then we need more then just a forum.
