agreed...who gives a shit if a gay couple is a gay married couple

but.....just because they are gay should they have their own rights? i mean it's not like it's an ethnicity or people of a certain religion that are being "persecuted" but people who have a different sexual preference

i think the whole notion of "gay rights" needs to go away and instead we just have rights that apply for everyone

In American law the right to self expression supersedes a persons claim of being offended by the actions of others. There is no right to not be offended. No one should have special rights, any rights we have should be granted to everyone. The real issues is should married hetro couples continue to have exclusive rights that aren't extended to other couples. Gay rights is a bit of a misnomer since what they're asking for is the same right. This could very well turn into a be careful what you ask for situation.
